a crisp, cold winter's morning

The sky was a bright but pale blue, verging on white. Everything glistened in the early morning light. The low, winter sun was barely visible over the back of the house.

It was fleeting… the frost faded within 15 minutes. I'm glad I took the opportunity to photograph it while it lasted.

Photographs taken in our garden, a couple of weeks before Christmas.

  5. So beautiful ... we haven't had a proper frost yet ... the rain and wind are battering the windows now ... the beginnings of the Atlantic storm ... here's hoping it blows over soon and the pretty frost arrives to replace it ... Bee xx

  7. So beautiful Charmaine. We hardly seem to have had any frost this year, and not when I have been able to photograph it, so it was so lovely to see your pictures, as I do love seeing the leaves all edged with frost as you have photographed. Thank you! xx

  12. What beautiful images. I was actually thinking today that we've only really had one or two frosty mornings so far this winter and how I have missed seeing them. They make everything look a little more wintry and magical. Although this wet, windy weather has been awful it's been mild too. Although they are saying snow showers for the weekend now...eek! x
