Along with ranunculus, peonies are my favourite flower. I love how they transform. Starting with tight round buds, opening slowly to reveal deep, full petals, their colour fading with time.

I held a simple bouquet of these beautiful flowers on our wedding day, white flushed with a little pink.

  1. Where do I start about Peonies? They are gorgeous, so lush and full bodied yet delicate. I love your bouquet and the other photos too. Funnily enough Morrisons had all their summer bulbs/tubers at half price today, I picked up some peonies and I'm off to plant them very soon, hope they grow!!Katie x

  4. Gorgeous photos. I adore peonies, I even looked for some in M&S this week hoping to find some, but no luck. I love how they look before they open, like perfect round balls. x

  6. I'm a huge peony fan too, and a peony pic was my contribution to the Pink theme as well. I would have loved to have had them in my wedding bouquet but they weren't available back then.
