hello 2013!

We thought the best way to begin the New Year would be to go for a walk at one of our favourite National Trust places, Wakehurst Place. Unfortunately everybody else from London and the surrounding areas agreed and it was completely packed!

Fortunately it is pretty big, so once we had worked through the scrum of the restaurant queue and had some lunch, we headed out into the grounds to find some space.

We wandered around the lake and found a pheasant...

We headed up through the Pinetum, where we spotted a few potential Christmas trees for next year...

And on the slow walk back towards the house, we enjoyed the late afternoon sun...

It was a lovely way to start the year!

Also just a quick reminder that the 15% sale in my Etsy shop ends tonight at midnight, so there's still a little time left to treat yourself before everything returns to full price! Use code "boxingdaysale" at checkout.
