goodbye 2012!

This year has gone by so fast. I'm struck by how much time we spent outdoors, despite our English weather!

January and February - we enjoyed forest walks in the cold and snow, and saw the first snowdrops at Wakehurst.

March - we had a wander in Henley and marvelled at the speed of the rowing teams.

April - I baked hot cross buns, and prepared for our wedding.

May - we enjoyed the warmer weather and got married!

June - we saw plenty of jubilee flags and enjoyed woodland walks. We spent a glorious 2 weeks in Cornwall, even though some activities were made more challenging by the rain!

July - we met some deer at Knowle and spent spare weekends camping when the weather was good.

September - we squeezed in a final camping trip, and a weekend visit to Cornwall.

October and November - we wandered around plenty of NT estates, including Anglesey Abbey, Richmond Park and Hatfield Forest, taking in the changing colours and textures.

December - we dressed our home for Christmas and I enjoyed my annual baking rituals.

I'm looking forward to seeing what next year will bring. Happy New Year!

You take very beautiful photos - I remember that shot of the sand dunes from earlier in the year - such gorgeous light.
