We decided to explore and see if we could find the sea. I had no idea it was so close, but as we turned the corner we saw this...
The cottage was a 1/2 mile walk from the small fishing village of Cadgwith. We spent an evening in the Cadgwith Cove Inn, thought to be over 400 years old. It was so odd to sit outside the pub and hear the waves breaking on the shore.
Next, we headed over to Mounts Bay and sat opposite St Michael's Mount. We watched lots of energetic people partaking in various watersports... from the comfort of our car, obviously.
On Monday we headed over to Kynance Cove, one of my favourite places in Cornwall. We walked the long route over the hill, around the coastal path and down to the little cafe by the sea.
We made our way over to the Helston river, and took a walk along the coastal path there. How amazing would it be to live in one of these houses with a ramp into the sea!
On our way home we stopped off in Dartmoor. After driving for ages I was worried we weren't going to see any ponies, but after taking a little detour, we found some...
It was such a lovely weekend, I don't think I'll ever tire of visiting Cornwall.
On Sunday we took the train into St Ives. It's such a pretty ride, winding its way along the coast with views to the beaches below. Once there, we walked along to the lighthouse and found a couple of seals had come to say hello.
